Steel Handrail and Privacy Screen

This was a full-blown wood to steel front porch conversion. We replaced the existing wood guard rail system with this trimmed down, steel railing system in order to open up the space without compromising safety.

Next we fabricated a steel frame for these gorgeous glass panels to create a stunning privacy screen where a wood fence panel used to be. The goal was to build a bold and sturdy structure that complimented the railing system and allowed the artistic glass to be the star of the show.

Aluminum Table Legs

The vision was a table that is as much a statement piece as it is a practical part of this dreamy outdoor living space.

We were tasked with legs that allowed the table to be dinner table height from one side and bar height on the other. Starting with a flat sheet of aluminum we hand cut and formed each leg creating a visual dynamic table that starts as many conversations as it holds.

Sliding Steel Garage Door Frames

These sliding garage doors allows for the best of both worlds! Whether you’re hosting large group or just want to let in light and fresh air, these sliding doors glide along a suspended track to create an open space and easy movement through your yard and garage.

Then, when it’s needed, close your doors for more intimate gatherings, or just to keep the bad whether at bay.

Mild steel frames are powder coated to match elements of the garage and add protection from the weather. Wood was then face mounted by Chuckanut Builders to tie the doors into the building’s architecture.

Modern Aluminum Slide Gate with Cedar Wood Inset

This clean and vibrant, open concept home needed a guard rail that would simultaneously make a statement and blend into the background. A tall order but one we were excited to fulfill.

Using mild steel for the railing frame we let the metal work do the talking. Beautiful, precision welds hold together these robust support posts.  Rather than steel pickets these client opted for stainless steel cabling that create safety and security along the stairway, while blending away into the gray flooring as you walk through the room.

This railing was finished with a clear powder coat in order to show off the beauty of the metal and all of its unique markings, but still feel smooth to the touch.

Rustic Aluminum Deck Railing

This beautiful cabin style workshop and apartment space was built to last decades with minimal maintenance, and it needed a guard rail that could do the same.

This railing is made out of hammered aluminum reminiscent of classic wrought iron but with the added benefit water resistance that only comes with aluminum. With a black powder coated finish and a custom wood topper this railing will withstand all the harsh PNW elements for years to come.

Modern Steel Guardrail

Soon after purchasing this 1970s home, the family knew they needed to upgrade the existing wrought iron railing to something more modern.

KP Metalworks designed a sleek, horizontal style railing system using steel rectangular tubing. While a black powder coated finish is popular, this couple selected a more rustic, gray finish with high texture leaving them with a softer overall look that tied the whole living area together.

In addition to the redesign, KP Metalworks brought the entire guardrail system up to current building code standards and installed with sturdy, yet subtle hardware to ensure this railing is as safe as it is beautiful.

Aluminum Handrail

This newly built home was near completion, all that was needed was a simple handrail leading up the beautiful front steps.

The owners wanted something minimal that tied into the rest of the home without detracting from the stunning construction and landscaping. It also needed to accommodate for LED lighting running underneath the grab rail that would light up the steps as you made your way up to the front door.

We fabricated an aluminum rail with aluminum channel running underneath. The railing was powder-coated a textured black color for additional protection against the elements. One of the key benefits of aluminum in the Pacific Northwest is it’s ability to be left raw without rusting. However, a powder-coated finish can help prevent against other forms of wear and tear such as scratching.

Garden Gate System With Trellis

This customer needed a gate system to close off her side and back yard. She had tried a simple wood option but wanted something with more flair.

We designed an ornate steel gate system with attached trellis that would support the nearby rose bush. Finished with a bold powder-coating, this gate system adds security as well as great curb appeal.
